Dear Lions,
Service defines who we are. It is the very reason we exist as a global organization, and
it is the mission that unites us.
When we serve, we make an impression in the hearts and the lives of the people we
serve. It is the mark of compassion and kindness. It is the mark of a Lion, a mark that
gives encouragement to our communities and hope to the people we serve. That’s why
my presidential message is “Make Your Mark.”
To make our mark, we all have to step up in our clubs and our communities. We have to
reach out to the people who need us. We have to change lives in the way that only Lions
can. It requires that you—that all of us—work to be our best every day, so we can make
every day better for someone.
One of the most important ways you can make your mark is by growing your club and
your district so we can achieve our MISSION 1.5 goal of reaching 1.5 million members
by July 1, 2027, and serve more people than ever before.
It’s simple—the more we grow, the more we can give. And no one gives like a Lion.
Think of the incredible good we will do around the world when we reach our goal of 1.5
million Lions. Imagine how many more lives we will be able to change together.
When Lions work together, we can achieve great things. So be the leader your club
and your community needs. Take action when you see a need. And never forget what
brought you into our incredible organization, and what keeps you here.
Together, we will make our world a better place for all people, and together we will
make our mark everywhere and every time we serve.
