New Appointment of Global Action Team GMT Area Leader

My fellow Lions,

I take great pleasure and am honour to announce, on behalf of Lions Clubs International, Past District Governor Bobby Eng is appointed to be the 2017-2020 Global Action Team, serving as the GMT Area Leader assigned to Multiple District 301, 308 and District 204.

The Global Action Team consists of the GLT, GMT and GFT. By working together as one team, “The Global Action Team”.

District 308-A1 is proud of PDG Bobby Eng’s appointment as GMT Area Leader and we are confident that his ongoing dedication will benefit our world largest service organisation “LCI” and MD308.

Congratulations to PDG Bobby Eng on his next level of Lionism journey to “We Serve”.

Convention Call – LCI District 308-A1 (16th Feb 2016)

In pursuant to Article V! of the Constitution and By-Law of Multiple District 308, we the undersigned hereby issue this official Convention Call to urge all Lions in the Multiple District 308 to attend the 54th Multiple District Convention and the 18th District 308 A1, 308 A2, 308 B1 & 308 B2 Conventions respectively.

The Conventions are scheduled to be held:
Duration: 29th April 2016 to 2nd May 2016
Venue The Sutera Harbour Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The Council of Governors and the Organising Committee have put in much hard work and effort in organizing the Conventions and look forward to welcome all fo you to have an enjoyable and rewarding time. We urge all of you to make every effort to register early and be active participants in the MD and District Conventions. A copy of the proposed convention program is attached for your attention. During the 54th MD Convention and the 18th Sub-district Conventions, election endorsement will be held for the following positions:-

District Governor for each Sub-district
1st Vice District Governor for each Sub-district
2nd Vice District Governor for each Sub-district

We wish to inform that for the posts listed above the certification of endorsement of candidacy may file theirs with their respective Sub-district Nomination Chairpersons no less than ten (10) days before the start of convention being 29th April 2016.

The Council of Governors look forward to seeing and welcoming all you at the 54th MD Convention and the 18th Sub-district Convention.

54th MD308 Lions Convention KK 2016

Special Attention to our MD308 Fellow Lions : –

We are pleased to announce that It has been an overwhelming response on the registration of delegates for the forthcoming 54th Multiple District 308 Lions Convention which will be held in Kota Kinabalu from 29/4 to 2/5/2016.

As of to date a total of 1251 delegates were registered for the Convention. However, due to capacity limitation, the Convention Organizing Committee has decided to limit and accept a maximum of Registration up to 1550 delegates. Any registrations
received thereafter, will be accepted as a full Conference delegate but regretfully it will go without the full package (banquet dinner and goodies bag).

We hereby thank you for those who have registered earlier and for Fellow Lions who have not registered, we
appreciate your understanding on this matter.

The Lions Open Sea Charity Swim 2016

The swim from Lazarus Island to Sentosa Island will be a fast paced, ocean swim in the open waters of Singapore.

An inaugural event in Singapore Open Water swim history, it features the key highlights
1) Strong Currents Meticulously calculated to be in your favor, (Expect to swim really fast)
2) Featured on Singapore TV on the 24th of January on the LIONS charity Swim at night
3) Special Clearance from Maritime Port Authority to do this swim.
MPA will also send escort boats to support us throughout the swim
4) Beautiful Landscape of swimming next to the coast of Sentosa as a backdrop of Singapore
5)  A highly worthy cause of Swimming for Charity and the elderly in Singapore
