Lions SaveSight Centre (Singapore) was registered with the Registrar of Societies on 1 July 2008.
Mission:
Vision Care and Blindness Prevention for the underprivileged and vulnerable in our community. In pursuit of Lions Clubs International global program on sight preservation, awareness and action, Lions SaveSight Centre (LSSC) endeavors to:
• Establish a centre for the prevention of blindness with strong emphasis on diabetes retinopathy, a blinding complication of diabetes
• Develop prevention of blindness programs caused by cataract, glaucoma & corneal diseases
• Create care services, education & training, screening, counseling & research to complement current developments in the prevention of blindness
• Co-ordinate outreach prevention of blindness programs to all seniors in our community
• Establish eye bank & corneal transplantation with links to LCI and its networks & links to sight conservation and eye banks
• LSSC is supported by majority of Lions Clubs in Singapore and has working partnership with:
> Singapore National Eye Centre
> Singapore Eye Research Institute

Lions Clubs International & District 308-A1 (Singapore)
LSSC’s current activities include:
• Annual eye screening for the seniors in our community in conjunction with Lions World Sight Day
• Regular Eye Care lectures & talks to public and schools to educate our young on the importance of proper eye care
• Monthly & bi-monthly eye screening for seniors at selected Homes and Senior Activity Centres
