Walk Again with Confidence Seminar – Limb Loss Awareness Month
April is Limb Loss Awareness and Limb Difference Awareness Month. In Singapore, 25% of diabetic patients are at risk of developing a foot ulcer and 80% of major amputations begin this way. Singapore hospitals perform around four diabetes-related amputations daily and was reported to have the second-highest proportion of amputations amongst developed nations.
Diabetes Singapore is organising a Walk Again with Confidence Seminar on 8 April 2023. District 308-A1 and Lions Prostheses Centre will jointly be supporting this event that addresses one of LCI Global Causes -Diabetes Awareness.
The panel of distinguished speakers sharing insights on diabetes care, foot infections and the psychological impacts of living with Diabetes includes:
