On behalf of the President of the Lions Club of Singapore Tanah Merah and the Organising Chairperson Lion Lesa Gan of the Yellow Ribbon Project 2017, I am appending below details of the above-named project Organised by the Club. As you would have known, this is one of the signature projects of the Club. It is customary for President to then extend to the District and clubs to participate in the project with the requisite contribution.

Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2017
The Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP) Singapore run a series of activities and events annually to deepen the message of second chances and to maintain mindshare amongst the Singaporean community. One signature and hallmark activity that we organise annually is the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run. The activity is branded as a race to complete the distance, while bearing in mind the difficult journey ahead for ex-offenders. The highlight of the activity will see runners given the rare opportunity to enter into Changi Prison Complex, the first in this part of the world. This activity attracts an estimated crowd of 10,000 annually.

1. $300 for club participation in Yellow Ribbon Project.
2. Entitled to 2 paxs to register for the Walk.

Time: 7.15am | 7.45am
Start Point: SAF Field, Farnborough Road (near Changi Village)
End Point: Changi Prison Complex
Category: 10km Competitive Run | 5km Run for Second Chances (Team of 4) | 5km Fun walk
All donations will receive 2.5 times Tax Deduction.
There are only 60 available slots for the run alloted and this will be on a first come first serve basis.
Our Club President together with the District Governor will be invited to make the cheque presentation.

DG’s assistance to disseminate this invitation to participate in this meaningful project organised by the Lions Club of Singapore Tanah Merah.
